And the content included here is actually pretty forthcoming with regards to what went right and wrong on each shoot, to varying degrees. This book delivers a comprehensive look at the making of the first hit film, as well as its thrilling sequels Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World: Dominion. Even better, it does that in the words of the people who were part of it, from Steven Spielberg to many of the other creatives and technicians.

The most comprehensive book about the Jurassic Park trilogy to date, Jurassic Park: The Ultimate Visual History begins with an in-depth account of the making of Spielberg's original film, including rare and never-before-seen imagery and exclusive interviews with key creatives. Jurassic Park: The Ultimate Visual History will be the last word on the most epic saga in movie history-the definitive behind-the-scenes book that fans have been waiting for. Topics include gangster movies, the films of the Coen Brothers, Christopher Nolan's Memento and Dunkirk and the rise of Sundance directors in Hollywood.

Unearth the story behind the making of the Jurassic World trilogy with this definitive collector’s book, a must-have for fans of the action-packed saga. A pretty fantastic overview of the first three films in the franchise, with more than a few design elements (including a fold-out brochure and full park badge replica) that zapped my (terrible) lizard brain back to being 5 years old and begging my parents to see this in theaters.

I read this to coincide with my cinematic rewatch for the 30th anniversary and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The pre-loved books are carefully cleaned and maintained offering a wide variety of general and specialist titles from children's to adults. James Mottram has been a film journalist since the mid-Nineties, writing his first published piece on Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers. Packed with behind the scenes details, not afraid to show the bad bits and chock full of imagery, some of which I've never seen. This big old hardcover does a generally excellent job of recounting the first film while touching on the next 2 sequels (to a slightly less comprehensive extent as you go through). Although interesting, I found these inserts rather annoying in that they covered up the illustrations and text in the book and were also stuck in with blobs of clear glue which left a stain on the pages they were attached to. This one is broken up into four chapters, the first three covering the original films, with the fourth covering all the merchandise including toys, video games, and comics. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The reason I give four instead of five stars is the way the publisher handles the inserts - they are literally glued in to the book.I’m fond of all three movies and the balance is just right, focusing mostly on the main first instalment with slightly less page space allocated to each of the sequels (but no less fascinating! Hoewel bij de Europese release (door Titan Books) staat dat het boek 192 pagina's bevat, is het (net als de US release) gewoon 256 pagina's dik. Since then, he's written features and reviewed films for publications all over the world, as well as publishing several books on cinema. Bij mij missen er een paar, maar zat er op een plek in het boek wel lijm voor de insert waardoor 2 pagina's aan elkaar geplakt waren.

Why publish an otherwise attractive book, squarely aimed at collectors, and effectively ruin it with splodges of silicone. the images are really high quality and interesting and there are a lot of inserts and bits that you can pull out like comic strips, park badges and what not. For example, I don't think I ever realized how dangerous the hurricane that hit during the shoot of the first film actually was. My only criticism is for the way the inserts are placed into the book, glue dots are used that leave greasy marks on the inserts and pages, they also don't hold the inserts firmly in place so when you finish looking through the book you need to straighten some of the inserts as they can move outside of the book covers and easily get damaged. It’s a fun read filled with great photos, unseen concept art, and text of anecdotes about production and filming.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).
