If you like Chris Rea, you will in all probability love the diversity of styles with the Chris Rea angle on it. Being quite obsessive by temperament, Rea had to get to the bottom of this phenomenon so he went out and bought almost every book on the subject extant. With over 20 pickup setting options, it's certainly one of the most tonally versatile guitars on the market!

Racism and the KKK made the situation even worse, which reflected in the music, instrumentation gradually changed and the lyrics told stories of fear ("KKK Blues"), aimless wandering ("Walkin' Country Blues"), alcoholism ("Too Much Drinkin'"), but also the flight from prevailing conditions, maybe with another perspective for life and the future in the big cities ("Ticket for Chicago"). If you've found open string chords like A major a bit of a squeeze on a standard electric, you'll love the room two extra millimetres affords here. Feel free to post pics of your own gear, cool gear you saw online or anything else as long as it complies with the rules. audio albums and a DVD comes with a 72-page hardback book including more than 30 paintings, photos, lyrics and an interview with Chris Rea.If so inspired, playing over 10 hours of this music straight through keeps the mind focused because each song is fascinating in its own right. It was a tremendous change in the way, the Blues could be approached, fine and subtle figures and fine chord structures could suddenly be played, the Blues was rising to previously unbeknown heights: "Now I can play above the bar noise, Man I'm bigger than a crowd" as Rea states in the opener "Electric Guitar", which paraphrases what musicians must have felt after this milestone revolution. A superb demo of the Brian May Guitars SPECIAL from young, Brazilian guitar ace Lucas Vianna, a performer in the 2016 São Paulo and 2017 Danish touring productions of the smash hit Queen musical "We Will Rock You". Thanks for telling your story and for clarifying that I underestimated the number of guitars in Scott's collection. Some of the best known versions include Fender's Daphne Blue which has been a firm favourite since the 1960s.

The neck isn't as deeply contoured as Brian's own but it is more substantial than many modern rock axes; with the nut width and neck contour we found it very comfortable to play. It’s like someone forgot to tell them they’re single coils, and they’re not supposed to sound like humbuckers too. The 120 songs composed and arranged and recorded by Chris Rea with his friends are so authentic and deeply felt, it is a 'Gesamtkunstwerk' like nothing else. For each of the albums were studied their history and characteristics, and for the recording process and sessions in the studio were procured and used equipments which was used at the specific time, and the studio itself was set up in the way to best-possibly convey the sound of rooms of the previous times. When the other band members study their scores, Rea works on paintings that will serve as album covers.Three pickups may not be that unusual but two sets of switches certainly are (white here, same colour as on Brian's red special); the higher placed set turns the pickup on/off and the lower set is for in/out phase reversal. Certainly from a distance, they look very similar as regards body shape, pickups, controls and dot arrangement for the 24 frets. This is a little add-on to the overall collection of music, some kind of making-of the Dancing Down the Stony Road album that Rea released in 2002, following the wake of his disease, his split with the record company and the process of coming to terms with his new style of music. In the hands of a better player, I expect it can do a decent job of those too, given its wide tonal options. Chris Rea then took the project in his own hands, dedicated to bring it into the world as no-one else would do it, together with a handful of dedicated top musicians. Nor did "electric" stop at the guitars – organs, pianos, keyboards, all was going electric, studios started to play around with the new electric sound, the possibilities seemed endless. While the basic structures and rhythms of the Blues remained true to the original, still a new generation moved the Blues onwards, banjo style played on electric guitar became the electric "sitar", the sound hit the nerve of the Indy/Hippie generation, instantly recognisable – Tamla Motown.Take the basic concept, move it into the "modern wild west" and what you get out of it is straightforward Texas Blues. He also expressed concern about the digitalization of modern generations whose musical perception lacks the attitude for making the record listening a specific enjoyable experience. You probably know the specifics – each pick up has its own on/off switch, and in-phase/out-of-phase switch. I first came across the track on a 1988 Album "New light through old windows" and on the subsequent short tour he did in December 1988. I'm very impressed with the build quality, all the details are flawless - it's a very fine guitar, and value for money is great.
